Love Came Down: Joy Without Limits
The people who walked in darkness,
have seen a great light.
For those who lived in a land of deep shadows
– light! Sunbursts of light!
You repopulated the nation,
You expanded its joy.
Oh, they’re so glad in your presence! Festival joy!
The joy of a great celebration,
Sharing rich gifts and warm greetings.
For a child has been born – for us!
The gift of a son – for us!
Isaiah 9:2-6 (MSG)
Happy Christmas lovely girls! The day is here! It’s a short and sweet Merry Christmas from the More Precious team today; we simply want to give you a chance to start this special day reflecting on some beautiful scriptures, as we celebrate our most valuable gift.
If you’re up early (and waiting for the go-ahead to crack into your stocking), why not take a moment to reflect on this verse from Isaiah:
His ruling authority will grow, and there’ll be no limits to the wholeness he brings. Isaiah 9:7 (MSG)
This is an incredible verse to pray about. The wholeness that Jesus provides is limitless – you can never overestimate it! You won’t be able to find it anywhere else. You can find rest and peace in Jesus this Christmas, and forevermore.
Why not take some time right now to pray at the start of Christmas Day. Pray that your day would be filled with festival joy. Pray that you would be able to love your families well, and that you would be able to take time to worship, whether that's at church or at home – whatever your day looks like.
I know that Christmas Day is going to be tinged with sadness or difficulty for a number of this year, for lots of reasons, but we can take hope in a God who came down and made himself vulnerable, to feel what we feel, and to seek and save the lost.
"What Jesus wants for Christmas is for us to experience what we were really made for." (John Piper)
We’ll be back again before you know it with content to guide you through the holiday season, but for now, we wish you a very Merry Christmas!
